NWLSO-UPR was founded in 2014 and launched its most successful program yet–the Student Mentorship Program, where upper-class students are paired with new students for a year of networking, guidance, and empowerment. Since then, along with other initiatives and activities, it has grown and empowered many women at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Our goal is to keep promoting our strength in unity and advocating for equality in the profession. NWLSO congratulates the other awardees in receiving a Ms. JD Award and is honored to be part of such a remarkable group of leaders. NWLSO welcomes the classes of 2019 & 2020!

The National Women Law Students’ Organization welcomed the classes of 2019 and 2020 this past Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the University of Puerto Rico School of Law. Each year, the school organizes a welcome event for incoming students, where student organizations have the opportunity to set tables, distribute information, and recruit new members. Our chapter was part of the event for its third consecutive year and presented the agenda for the academic year to all interested 1Ls. Most of the students were interested in our Student Mentorship Program, known in our law school as the biggest one, which strives to empower women and men throughout their journey in law through networking activities and mentoring. 13872683_1093882654039748_4097128198204692152_n
